Description
Registration for the Ibis Migration Mendocino is closed.
However if you would like to join the wait list, please click on "Tickets" on the upper right of this page and we will see what we can do.
The Ibis Migration Mendocino is all about the riding. And the food. And the camaraderie.
You'll experience three days of glorious loamy singletrack riding deep in the redwood forest of Mendocino. You’ll even venture out into the world famous pygmy forest that abuts the Woodlands and visit the ride-through tree.
Here's what you'll get:
*Three days of guided riding on the redwood magic carpet
*Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and beer (you won’t get hungry)
*Real good beverages
*Full access to the 2018 Ibis demo fleet
*Three nights of accommodation in 100 year old cabins built of redwood.
*Ibis Migration T-shirt (kind of like what you see above)
*Insulated stainless beverage container by Kleen Kanteen, featuring Chris McNally's art
*Stimulating campfire conversation and shared stories (some of which are true)
*Professional photographer will be in the house (and on the trail) to document your incredible style!
*Entertainment at night
We will be adding new info and additions to the event all the way up until the starting gun on August 16th.

FAQs
Do I need to own an Ibis to participate?
No, you don't have to own an Ibis. We are accepting both current and future Ibisians into the mix. And past. Bring a bike, and hopefully you'll also be able to ride one of the bikes from our demo fleet.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Mendocino Woodlands camp is about 15 minute drive from Mendocino itself, and there is no public transportation. Cell service and GPS are spotty in the dense redwoods, so download and/or print directions to 39350 Little Lake Rd, Mendocino CA. Follow signs for Mendocino Woodlands Camp 1.
What should I bring to the event?
Your favorite Ibis mountain bike, of course! We will also have a full demo fleet to help you decide on your next n+1, as well as a pro mechanic who will be stationed at the camp, so you can leave the full shop setup at home. Bring tools for trailside bike repairs, though.
As for the rest, we’ll be sending a full packing list and final logistics a few weeks ahead of the camp. Given that you’ll be staying in rustic cabins in the woods, you need to bring creature comforts like bedding, flashlights/headlamps, bug spray etc. Again, we’ll send a comprehensive packing list closer to the event.
What are the accommodations like?
Guests will be staying in rustic redwood cabins built nearly 100 years ago. Cabins are simple and beautiful, with little balconies and views of the forest below you. They have no electricity (and you won’t need to charge your cell phone, because there is no coverage).
Each cabin has its own little fireplace and four single beds. A short walk from each cabin is a shower and toilet. Some adjoin one other cabin, others are stand-alone.
How do I pick my cabin?
Cabin selection will go live soon. With four single beds per cabin, you can choose to be with your friends, or if you prefer privacy and only want two or three to a cabin, we can make that happen with an additional fee per bunk spot. There will be a family-only cabin area and two adult-only cabin areas. Here is the camp map: http://mendocinowoodlands.org/wp-content/uploads/Camp-1-Map.pdf
Are kids invited?
Yes, riders, hikers, hula hoopers and guests of all ages are welcome!
We know that kids and adults have different needs, so we’ve set aside a family-only cabin area as well as separate mealtimes and play areas for kids. A parent or guardian must accompany children under 5 at all times.
We DO NOT have bikes for kids so bring your kid's bikes (whether they want to go on trail rides or not).
What are the kids activities and when will I know?
We’re still finalizing the program for kids – it’ll be available once we know how many kids are attending (and their ages). While you go out on rides or gather round the campfire at night, kids will have the chance to do all sorts of activities: nature walks, kids rides, trips to the swimming hole, arts & crafts, movie nights, etc. We will have separate kid's rides based on skill level so please let us know, your child's interest level so that we can plan accordingly.
What's the refund policy?
We can refund you in full up to midnight July 16th. After that time, we can refund you only if there is someone on the waiting list who takes your place.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
If you find someone to take your place, email ibismigration@gmail.com at least 48hrs before the event and we'll make it happen.
Is there a waiting list for when the event sells out?
Yes – shoot us an email at ibismigration@gmail.com. We’ll offer spaces as they open up.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope!
When and where do I check in?
Check in will be in the Camp 1 Dining Hall, 5-10pm on Thursday and 7am-10pm on Friday. Come and see us first before heading to your cabin.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email ibismigration@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to shoot a response back within 2 days. Once we set foot in the Woodlands midday on Thursday May 11th though, we’ll be out of cell phone and email access.
